With flourishing forest, rocky headlands, stunning views and abounding wildlife, the area is made for walking. Start with an early-morning or late-afternoon walk along the beach directly across the road.
Walk down to Big Hill and back from the cottages, or head past Delicate Nobby to the far end of Sunset Beach.
For something more challenging, the Racecourse headland has mountain walking tracks connecting to beach access toward Crescent Head, and the Big Hill headland tracks reward you with panoramic views.
Bring a pushbike for a ride along the hard sand. You can ride to Sunset Beach and down to Big Hill, though only at low tide, as the sand is soft otherwise.
